Enrichment afternoons are producing…

These two boys have designed their area to develop outside as part of our enrichment afternoons. During our enrichment afternoons pupils are taught in mixed ages from 7-11 and encouraged to develop the ‘hidden’ curriculum. It has been a HUGE success so far, the feedback from the pupils has been phenomenal!

Peaking at the right time!

The previous post was an example that showed it wasn’t all about the right answers. I guess there are times when it is!

Well done for getting 20 out of 20. I know how proud you are – we are too!

Maths – It’s not always about the answers!

I was lucky enough to cover Year 4 this afternoon and saw examples first hand of strategies being taught really well from our teachers. Problems were presented to the pupils and after convincing the pupils that I wasn’t interested in the answers, they began to show their workings out. I was really pleased to see this pupil show her working out like the bottom picture shows. This was without a prompt – she just wanted to present it this way.

Well done!
